I was pleasantly surprised by Gold. Against the odds, rags to riches stories have been told many times before but this has a good sense of location, fine acting and a forehead smacking twist a good chunk of the way through.McConaughey does a good job appearance transformation wise - especially with the passing of time.
Verdict: A satisfying Saturday afternoon matinee.
